Games, winning gold in the women’s gymnastics final. Despite a calf injury during preliminaries, she showcased her extraordinary talent, further solidifying her status as the greatest gymnast of all time with a total of eight Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals.
Biles had previously withdrawn from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to mental health issues, experiencing the “twisties,” a condition affecting spatial awareness. Her decision to prioritize mental health was widely praised, leading her to focus on her personal life, including marrying NFL player Jonathan Owens in 2023.
Reflecting on her childhood, Biles shared, “Growing up, me and my siblings were so focused on food because we didn’t have a lot of food.” She and her sister were eventually adopted by their grandparents, Nellie and Ronald Biles, who supported her gymnastics career.
After her wedding, Biles moved into her modern Houston home, which she describes as “an LA house, but in Houston.” Although her parents didn’t favor her home choice, Biles emphasized, “But it’s not your house, it’s mine.”
Currently, Biles and Owens are building a new home together. Despite her busy life, Biles continues to dominate the gymnastics world while enjoying her Houston property with her husband.
